The operation of this method consists of supporting the self-launching formwork on the bridge substructure (piers and abutments), while the already constructed deck may also serve as a support. Once the formwork, carried by the self-launching system, has been correctly positioned, the reinforcement is placed inside it. The deck concreting is then carried out, either in one or more phases. The self-launching system advances span by span in an autonomous manner using hydraulic or electric mechanisms.
